Feria de Abril 2018
In collaboration with internationally renowned, London-based Flamenco dancer and performer Lourdes Fernandez, we are bringing to you La 'Feria de Abril', a wonderful event taking place in Seville two weeks after Easter. Each April, the city shrugs off Lent with an explosive week-long fiesta where no one can remain a spectator for long. What began in the mid-19th century as a cattle fair has developed into a spectacular six-day extravaganza, when the entire city devotes itself to music and dance 24 hours a day. La Feria gathers every year more than 1,000 striped 'casetas' (party tents), endless strings of multicoloured paper lanterns and brilliant lights amid a cacophony of passionate 'Sevillanas'.
What to expect from the night: a live flamenco performance with some of Spain's most exciting artists, and a lively Sevillanas party where everyone is welcome to dance and have fun.
Artists — Lourdes Fernandez (Dance): international Flamenco and Spanish dance dancer and choreographer born in Madrid, currently working in London with projects such as 'Alma Gitana', 'Ida y Vuelta' and 'Prana Company'.
